Madison is located just north of the Huntsville International Airport on Interstate I-565. It borders Huntsville on it's east side, and extends into Limestone County on its west side. It is near Redstone Arsenal and NASA. The city of Madison is the second most populous city in Madison County. It was founded on a railroad line in the mid-1800's as Madison Station. Today it is a community of high-tech industry and extensive, affluent residential neighborhoods.
